The EGG!

Reason: dinosaurs laid eggs well before any chicken came into existence.

Chicken because ancestor of chicken are not chicken, they evolve them self to chicken and start laying eggs to make survive their species in this diminishing world. so if any chicken dead due to any climate change or any external factor at least their species can live further.
as it take time to grow one full egg to chicken. by that time another chicken can lay egg. after that if she die also species growth is not effect. so in my opinion chicken came first. they are evolve version of some other species i believe. as every on is evolve version of something. chicken are also evolve version and they came first.
