Job Description

An ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing specialized hardware components tailored for specific applications, such as GPUs, automotive systems, and high-speed communication interfaces. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the designs meet performance, power, and area requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Micro-Architecture and RTL Development: Define micro-architectures and develop Register-Transfer Level (RTL) code for design modules.
Feature Implementation: Design features to meet specific performance, power, and area requirements.
Collaboration: Work with hardware architects to define critical features and assist verification teams in ensuring design correctness.
Physical Design Support: Partner with timing, VLSI, and physical design teams to ensure designs meet timing and interface requirements and are suitable for routing.
Prototyping and Validation: Collaborate with FPGA and software teams to prototype designs and support post-silicon verification and debugging.

Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 2+ years of design experience, particularly in micro-architecture and RTL design of complex units.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Verilog and experience with design and verification tools. Knowledge of high-speed I/O controllers like PCI Express and understanding of PCI Express Protocol (Gen 3 and above).
Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Scripting Knowledge: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or shell scripting.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
