Position: DDR tools and System development engineer
Location :-    Hyderabad
Job Overview:
The charter of the QUEST team is to implement the production (or factory) tests for System Level Testing. These tests are typically used to screen HW defects in the chipsets and run during mass production (or in factory environment) where the goal is to find the defects in minimum amount of time. These tests are implemented in boot loader environment and covers key areas like CPU, DDR, Crypto, DSPs, multimedia, machine learning, and other stress tests.
The team is looking for a candidate who has strong background on Firmware/Embedded/RTOS concepts, with an understanding of HW concepts and ability to work with many cross-functional teams. The candidate is expected to be self-driven to quickly get up to speed on various aspects of the HW/SW and flexible to take-up tasks as per the project needs.
The position involves understanding of SoC architecture and analyzing different system level use cases and functional areas to identify critical HW blocks that need functional and stress testing coverage in the mass production environment. The candidate will get significant opportunity to interact with multiple SW and HW teams.  Apart from getting to understand system level use cases and implement the tests, this position is expected to give an exposure to understand various quality stages from product development to commercial launch of the product.
Exp :-  1 to 7 yr exp preferably from embedded systems and good C programming background.

Skillset Required :-
•    Strong understanding of OS fundamentals, data structures, Computer architecture , Embedded system, real-time operating system and Device drivers.
•    Embedded software development in C, C++ and/or assembly
•    Working knowledge of Python Programming.
•    Familiarity with JTAG for on-chip debugging or any other debugger.
•    Development work experience in embedded system at low level.
•    Good to have experience in Linux or UEFI level
•    Experience in platform bring-up (post-silicon)
•    Good understanding with boot loader functionality.
•    Excellent critical thinker with sharp debugging skills
•    Excellent communication and collaborative skills
 
 
Responsibilities:
•    Interact closely with cross-functional software teams to implement system level tests
•    Engage with HW and SW teams to identify potential SW and HW defects
•    Debug issues reported from mass production (factory) environment
•    Define and develop test cases in multiple critical areas of the SoC
Development Opportunity:
•    Need to work in UEFI framework development to develop system level stress framework development for DDR technology LP4x/LP5x, Peripherals (PCIE, UFS, USB, SD card), Multimedia(GPU, Camera, Video) etc.
•    Desirable Good understanding of ARM APSS – subsystem, , L1, L2, L3 caches, ARM V8/9
•    Opportunity to get the understanding of overall soc and low level internals of subsystems in the SOC
•    Will be responsible for driving multiple programs in terms of System level stress framework development in UEFI and DDR characterization tools. Need to work on issues with multiple teams (performance, power, peripherals, Multimedia, Design, DV etc.)
•    Need to analyze lot of data and need to recognize patterns.
