Position Description
SSS team is responsible for providing production support and application maintenance on IT Services to our business partners. It works on Incident management, Problem management, Change management and Release & Deployment Management processes based on ITSM / ITIL framework.
 
 
PeopleSoft ERP Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses Quote to Cash solution has been created in PeopleSoft ERP utilizing modules, Customer Contracts, Project Costing, Billing, and Accounts Receivables.
 
 
ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning. It is a software solution that allows businesses to centrally manage the flow of data from many processes throughout an organization. Optum purchased PeopleSoft’s ERP as the solution to channel data captured in quoting, and contracting and pass it to Contracts, revenue recognition, and order fulfillment and then hand it to billing, invoicing, accounts receivable and collections.
 
 
Below are some of the salient features:
• PeopleSoft ERP is the primary transaction system for entire Q2C lifecycle of Customer contracts, timely billing, revenue recognition and Cash application and collections
• PeopleSoft customer contracts module is tightly integrated with SFDC for automated contract creation and recording of the Customer Bill Plan and Revenue Plans
• Order fulfillment is integrated with multiple product admin systems and ensures complete alignment and billing of the customers based on fulfillment completion
• Billing module is used as a single Invoice generation and maintenance system for the entire organization
• Single PeopleSoft Accounts receivable system for Cash application and collections
• Some of the Optum business which has on boarded to ERP are A-Life, CareTracker, Provider Consulting/Optum 360, CareMedic etc.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring timely deliveries for all assigned tasks as per SLA
  • Provide technical leadership to the team. Mentor and guide them whenever required
  • Adherence to the defined SSS delivery process/guidelines like Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Management, SLA Compliance, productivity and other application goals etc.
  • Participation in Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases, provide inputs for Go/No Go decision
  • Develops innovative approaches on performance optimization & automation
  • Provide timely updates on tasks to reporting supervisor
  • Participation in monthly PMR
  • Participation in various application process initiatives like QMS, CMMI, ISDM, PMR etc.
  • Developed integrations with third party systems using Integration Broker and Web Services
  • Developed re-usable application components using PeopleCode technology that was adopted across multiple projects
  • Developed conversions, interfaces, customizations and reports, to address client requirement in accordance with the industry best practices
  • Debug and optimize SQL statements within Query, SQR, and Application Engine
  • Key job functions would include job monitoring, analysis, debugging problems, PLM tasks, providing code fixes & testing. Conduct root cause analysis on all incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
  • Ensuring timely updating of HPSM with resolution data, root cause
  • Ensure availability over weekends/holidays as may be needed due to project requirements
  • Achieves harmonious working relationships with business partners and within team

Required Qualifications:
  • B.Tech/M.Teh/MCA/M.Sc (15 years of formal education, correspondence courses are not relevant)
  • PeopleSoft Technical resource having minimum of 5+ years of development experience in PeopleSoft applications, PeopleSoft 9.1 and 8.5x tools or higher
  • Experience in Upgrade activities - Upgrade and Change Assistant
  • Experience in creating the Technical Design and Test case documents
  • Good in Application Designer, Application Packages, People Code, Application Engine, Workflow, Approval Workflow Engine (AWE)
  • Good in XML Publisher reporting, Component Interface, iScripts, Integration Broker, File Layout, Security, Process Scheduler, Data Mover and PS Query tool
  • Good oral & written communication Skills
  • Familiar with Onshore-Offshore model
  • Hands on experience in Oracle 10g/11g, and MS SQL SERVER
  • Available to travel to US for short term / long term assignment if required
